TAREE MAN SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN JAIL

Manning Great Lakes Police have revealed a 44-year-old Taree man, who sexually assaulted an intellectually disabled girl, has been sentenced to eight years in jail.

The man, has been found guilty of possessing child abuse material, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.

Police have issued a statement saying they “won’t tolerate anyone taking advantage of intellectually disabled people in the community, who are particularly vulnerable.”
