‘LOOKIN’ AFTER OUR MOB’ LAUNCHES IN TAREE
A pilot program, designed to heighten awareness about cancer in Aboriginal communities, has been launched in Taree.
Oncologists, nurses and cancer survivors today spoke about the disease at the ‘Look’n After Our Mob’ event.
The talk, giving the Purfleet community an insight into the treatment options available for different types of cancers.
Manning Base Hospital staff are hoping it’ll encourage more people to seek treatment when they start to feel ill.
“What’s on today is a really good thing and it’ll open alot of peoples eyes and I think that um we should have this constant.”
