A proposal for a major housing development at Nambucca Heads has been given the green light.
The Northern Joint Regional Planning Panel today approved the multi million dollar Belwood project with one major condition.
No development will be allowed on 15 lots in the 55 hectare subdivision because of an aboriginal sacred site.
The developer will now seek a construction certificate and consent from council.
