Lennox Head surfer Adam Melling has moved through to the quarter finals at the US Open, after defeating Charles Martin in the round of 16.
He finished with a score of 11.63.
Meanwhile Byron Bay’s Garrett Parkes is also through to the quarters, after downing America’s Kolohe Andino.
