It has been a tragic night in the Upper Hunter with three people killed following a fatal car crash in Muswellbrook.
A fourth man, involved in the accident remains in a serious condition with life threatening injuries.
Emergency services were called to Bengalla Road just before 9:30pm, following a crash between a utility and Kia carnival.
The male driver of the utility, believed to be aged in his 30’s died at the scene.
A male driver and female passenger in the Kia also died at the scene and are yet to be formally identified.
Police have established a crime scene and are investigating what led to the crash.
A report will also be prepared for the coroner.
