NORTH COMPANIONS PERFECT HALF

In round 14 of the Northern Inland Premier League, North Companions dominated the first half of their clash with Gunnedah United, leading 5-1.

But the visitors came out strong in the second half, scoring twice in the opening 10 minutes.

Not content with a two-goal lead, Northies continued to test Gunnedah goalkeeper Brad McIvor (Mc-Iva).

Despite creating more chances, the home side couldn’t find the back of the net.

North Companions move to second on the Southern Conference ladder, after a 5-3 win.

In other matches, Tamworth FC took the three points, and Namoi scored its first win.

East Armidale thumped Guyra, and the Redmen were upset by their cross-town rivals.
