The founder of Hunter construction company, Daracon Group, has been interviewed by ICAC investigators, after revealing he donated $15,000 to Tim Owen’s 2011 state election campaign.
The Newcastle MP however hasn’t declared receiving a single donation, with money instead listed in the Liberal Party’s declaration.
Mr Owen says he had no knowledge of the donation and did not know David Mingay at the time.
Daracon provides civil construction services for government and private clients, including contracts worth $25-million for the remediation of the former BHP steelworks site.
