COMMUNITY TO HAVE SAY ON TRAFFIC PROBLEM AREAS

The community has been called on to have its say on the future of Newcastle’s road projects.
The call-out is part of a Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) study into traffic hot spots, with Stuart Avenue’s rail crossing and Adamstown gates forming two of 23 problem areas the community can provide feedback on.
Member for Newcastle, Tim Owen, says the RMS study will develop a priority list of future planning.
“We’re looking for information from road users about queuing and delays at the identified sites and any solutions the community can think of to make their journey a better one.
No funding has been allocated for building work at this time, apart from the Jesmond to Rankin Park section of the inner city bypass.
