MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING AN IMPAIRED WOMAN

A man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in his care in Port Macquarie.

Police allege the 38-year-old woman was assaulted between October 1 and November 1 last year.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Hampton Court just after 7am this morning, seizing a number of electronic devices.

A 62-year-old man was arrested and charged with offences including aggravated assault of a victim with a cognitive impairment.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Port Macquarie local court in February.
