PROTEST AT COFFS POLICE STATION OVER MAN’S DEATH

Relatives and friends of a 19 year old aboriginal man whose body was found in Coffs Creek in April
are refusing to accept his death was an accidental drowning.

Demanding justice for Jordan Bolt, the group staged a protest march through the CBD today claiming the young man could have been murdered.

Outside the police station, they called for a review of the investigation into the teenager’s death.

Relative Samantha Jarrett said, “It’s a protest because we haven’t got answers on Jordan’s death – we haven’t got a specific day when Jordan died, how he died other than they reckon he drowned.”

Police told the protestors investigators would discuss the case with elders and relatives in the near future.
