The 21-year-old charged over the stabbing a man in Kyogle on Saturday had his case briefly mentioned in Lismore today.
Jai Newton has been charged with wounding a person to cause grievous bodily harm.
Newton appeared in court but didn’t apply for bail.
The matter has been adjourned to July 8.
