Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Jesmond shopping centre.
Just after 4:30 yesterday afternoon, a 57-year-old man and his two sons were near their vehicle in the car park when two men approached them, one was armed with a hammer.
They threatened the trio before running away with a laptop, cash and documents.
Both men are described as being aged in their early 20s, of average build, and were wearing dark hooded jumpers.
