Mystery surrounds how a Coolangatta father came to have serious head and neck injuries.
37-year-old Dylan Simpson was found on the basement level of the car-park at the Showcase Shopping Centre on Wednesday night, after drinking with friends.
He says can’t remember how he got there.
“All I can remember is someone taking a swing at me. From that all I can remember is waking up in the hospital after that, because I must have blacked out or something.”
The possibility he fell hasn’t been ruled out.
Police are investigating, and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
