PORT STEPHENS MOTHER DISQUALIFIED & SENTENCED TO HOME DETENTION AFTER DUI

A Port Stephens woman, found near a school zone with a blood alcohol level six times the legal limit, has been sentenced to 14 months home detention and disqualified from driving for five years.
Last March, an off-duty police officer took the 49-year-old’s car keys from her, as she sat in a four wheel drive outside Tea Gardens Public School.
Locals had raised concerns about the manner in which the car was being driven while children were walking and riding bicycles home from school.
