STOLEN CAR BURSTS INTO FLAMES IN COFFS STREET

Residents in a Coffs Harbour Street were shocked at 8 o’clock on Saturday night when a late model holden commodore exploded into flames after being torched by thieves.
It was stolen from a North Boambee home after a burglary earlier in the night.
The car was heard doing “wheelies” before it was engulfed in flames.
As yet police have no description of the culprits.
Detective Inspector Darren Jameson said, “the vehicle was taken from a break enter and steal and was put down in Aubrey Street before it was set afire.”
A resident recorded this vision of the blaze with his iphone as a fire unit arrived to extinguish the fames.
