EPA UNDER INVESTIGATION

The State Government is launching a parliamentary inquiry into the Environmental Protection Agency’s handling of a toxic spill in the Pilliga Forest last year.
In March, mining giant Santos was fined just $1500 for the incident, incensing locals.
Protestors have been around the site for nearly six months, and believe it shouldn’t be up to them to protect the environment.
The EPA has welcomed the inquiry.
