A 23-year-old man from Kariong was with friends on a private property at Glendonbrook, near Singleton when shortly after midnight the Holden Colorado ute he was driving rolled.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle and became trapped underneath.
Emergency services helped free the man, who was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
