“BLUES HARBOUR” HELPED WITH STATE OF ORIGIN WIN

Tourism leaders in Coffs Harbour are taking some of the credit for the New South Wales’ 12-8 win over the Maroons in last night’s state of origin opener in Brisbane.

They say public support for the ” Blues Harbour ” campaign during the team’s stay in the city gave the side the psychological boost it needed to win.

“We were hoping we would be the ex-factor in their win last night, Laurie Daley was always talking to the media about how first rate the training facilities were here and how they enjoyed the camp,” said Dean Zahner from Tourism Coffs Coast.

The Blues will return to Coffs for another training camp in July ahead of the final game of the series.
