COFFS LIONS BEAT URUNGA RAIDERS ONE NIL IN CLOSE GAME

The Coffs United Lions have consolidated their position
at the top of the North Coast Football ladder, thanks to a one-nil win over Urunga.

Lions Captain Scott Goddard sealed the victory, heading in a goal after a corner in the final stages of the game between the two arch rivals.

Current State Cup champions Urunga did well to contain the reigning premiers, after one of their players was sent off for an alleged headbutt towards the end of the first half.

Raiders coach Paul Pomroy said his team will take its first loss of the season on the chin, and regroup.
