HAZLEWOOD STRUGGLES IN ROUND ONE

Tamworth’s Josh Hazlewood endured a tough night in the Big Bash League, bowling three wides in his first over, and conceding 28 runs in his opening two.
“Hazlewood to the left handers just erring too far wide. He’s given too much width and the two tight ones have been dispatched. That’s a length issue.”
But the Bendemeer Bolt recovered – his second spell was a lot tighter.
He nearly had Usman Khawaja caught in the deep, teammate Mark Cosgrove just fell short.
Hazlewood went on to snare Ryan Carters to finish with figures of one for 43, and help the Sixers to a six wicket win.
