One of Newcastle’s best vantage points has been given a makeover, with work to create pathways and viewing areas at Cathedral Park now complete.
Part of the project included the restoration of the Hannell monument, a memorial to Newcastle’s first mayor James Hannell.
Cathedral Park is Newcastle’s oldest European cemetery, attracting more than 80,000 visitors a year.
