ROLL UP THOSE SLEEVES: BLOOD, PLASMA DONATIONS STILL NECESSARY

North West residents being reminded they can leave their homes to donate blood and plasma, but must wait a week after receiving a COVID jab to do so.

Since the lockdown began 1 in 4 people in Tamworth and 1 in 5 in Armidale have cancelled their appointments.

Red blood cells are particularly needed at this time, the target for Tamworth is 200 per week, while Armidale is after 90 per week.

Currently these aren’t being reached, so locals are being urged to roll up their sleeves.
