Bellingen Shire has announced that Australian television legend Benita Collings will be next year’s Australia Day ambassador.
Best known for her long-running stint as a presenter for Play School, she’s also featured in major films including Sleeping Beauty, The Eye of the Storm and has also worked alongside big names including Nicolas Cage.
Benita will attend the shire’s celebrations on January 26 and present the community awards.
