PARALYMPIAN VISITS TAMWORTH

A small group of Tamworth children have been treated to a visit by three-time Paralympian Ben Austin.

The former swimmer was in town to discuss the challenges he had to overcome in order to become a world champion.

Austin’s left arm was amputated when he was just two weeks old, but he hasn’t let it hold him back.

Providing advice to those struggling with their own issues, physical or mental.

“The thing is to never give up, persevere, have patience and find a way to believe in yourself because that will go a long way to making sure you’re successful in anything you want to do. And having fun as well.”
