YACHT RUNS AGROUND IN COFFS HARBOUR

There was trouble for the crew of a boat in Coffs Harbour this afternoon,
when a 60 foot cruising yacht ran aground at the mouth of the marina at low tide.
Luckily the hull of the vessell was stuck in sand and damage was minimal.
The Sydney couple on board called authorities and a Water Police launch was eventually able to tow the yacht free as the tide came in.
Dredging of the harbour, and the mouth of the marina in particular, is expected to begin in a fortnight.
