Hundreds have turned out at a memorial service in Port Macquarie for Zac Young who was killed by a shark while bodyboarding at Coffs Harbour yesterday.
The 19-year-old was with three mates at Riecks Point north of Coffs when the shark bit his legs.
He was dragged to shore but died soon after.
Dozens of his mates will hold a special paddle out at Port Macquarie’s Town Beach in Zac’s memory.
Beaches from Sawtell to Woolgoolga have been closed as authorities search for the killer shark.
