An investigation is underway into the death of a female worker at Glencore’s Ravensworth open cut mine near Singleton overnight.
Emergency services were called just before midnight, after the light vehicle she was driving collided with a dump truck.
The woman, who was an operator at the mine, died at the scene.
The truck driver was taken to Singleton Hospital suffering shock.
