HUNTER CROWN RESERVES RECEIVE GRANTS
The Hunter is benefiting from close to a million dollars allocated to Hunter Region Crown reserves.
The Public Reserves Management Fund has granted $986,562 to the Hunter region for the improvement, maintenance and protection of Crown land reserves.
Local projects benefiting from the funds include;
• $88,792 to the Morisset Showground Trust for renovations and remodelling of the
amenities block, showers and toilets at Morisset Showground.
• $62,339 to the Walka Water Works Trust for repairs to the Walka
Water Works’ Main Pump House.
• $140,000 to the Poppet Head Recreation Reserve Trust to replace the playground and
security fencing at the Poppet Head Reserve near Cessnock.
