A camp fire oven is to blame, for a house fire in a four-storey Currumbin home.
Residents put the oven in the bathroom, when it caught alight – a smart move, according to fire-fighters, who say it saved the property.
“The fella who tried to extinguish the fire had closed the bathroom door behind him and this kept the fire in check to that one room.”
