A commemorative bottle of port was today placed in a special spot alongside the ex HMAS Adelaide just off Avoca Beach.
Encased in a special scuba cylinder, it made the journey underwater and was placed on the bridge of the Adelaide by members of the Central Coast artificial reef project.
It’s a mark of respect to all those who served on the vessel – and will also become yet another drawcard for divers to visit the ship.
