Some Newcastle councillors have requested an urgent meeting with the General Manager, after two senior staff members were stood down.
Future City Director Judy Jaeger and Art Gallery Director Ron Ramsey have both been suspended on full pay, pending an investigation.
It’s not clear why, or what’s being examined – a spokeswoman for Newcastle Council says it does not comment on staff matters.
