A group of Newcastle residents is pushing for an inquiry into the forced removal of children from their parents, by the Department of Community Services.
Protesting outside Broadmeadow Children’s Court today, the group is hoping to collect 10,000 signatures for a petition to go before state and federal governments.
It also says it wants improved rights for the families of such children.
