The creation of a new industry body to represent dairy farmers, vendors and processors, will soon be the subject of a ballot by the New South Wales Farmer’s organisation.
A separate entity, ‘Dairy Connect Limited’, is seeking to establish the new organisation, to better represent the industry which is struggling to remain viable.
Discounting of milk by the major supermarkets has farmer’s deeply concerned about the future.
