WOMAN DRIVER CRITICAL AFTER HIGHWAY COLLISION WITH 2 TRUCKS

A female driver is fighting for life after a crash involving her car, a small truck and a B-double on the Pacific Highway at Shark Creek, near Maclean on the north coast.
The 27-year-old woman, who had to be freed from the wreckage, suffered critical head and abdominal injuries.
A 30-year-old male passenger in the same car suffered minor injuries.
Grafton Police Sergeant Harley Willox said, “we’re looking at the information provided by a number of witnesses which may indicate as to what has actually happened.”
The woman was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
The highway was closed in both directions for two hours after the crash which happened about 12.30pm.
