POLICE ASSOCIATION COMMENDS COP’S NOT GUILTY VERDICT

The family of a teenager – struck with a police officer’s baton 18 times in Byron Bay – say they will seek advice from a human rights lawyer.

It comes after Senior Constable Michial Greenhalgh was yesterday found NOT guilty of assault.

A magistrate rejected allegations Greenhalgh used unreasonable force during the 2018 incident.

The Police Association has commended the verdict.
