A robber had a painful experience in Varsity Lakes overnight.
It’s alleged the 20-year-old Robina man broke into a number of units on Universal Drive, before being caught by a member of the public.
He managed to get away, and swam into a nearby river, but police eventually arrested him.
Paramedics were called, to remove a taser barb from his neck.
He’s been charged with burglary, assaulting police and possessing tainted property
