WEATHER UPDATE: CRUEL WEATHER CONDITIONS
The weather situation is going to be very cruel over the next two days. Hot, gusty northerly winds exacerbating the bushfire situation as a rain band passes to the south making for a wet couple of days for Victoria and southern NSW. The Greater Hunter will be on the northern edge of this rain band and may be able to pick up some light falls tomorrow afternoon.
Wednesday has the potential to be a disastrous day with the NW winds strengthening ahead of the strong change. High cloud will increase and again some rain should fall but totals are likely to be small easing conditions for Thursday. On the bright side the ongoing trend of strong hot NW winds ahead of these dry southerly’s is set to be broken with a more normal end to October/November period expected.
