COFFS GOLF CLUB GREENS UP FOR OPEN
Some low scores are expected when the North Coast Open is played at the Coffs Harbour Golf Club this weekend.
Despite the dry spell, the course is in pristine condition thanks to the resident caretaker and an irrigation system that recycles waste water onto fairways and greens.
Club Professional Matt Allan says “the best conditioned course in country New South Wales we think and with the new irrigation system, a million dollar irrigation system the club implemented a few years ago, it’s just paid dividends.”
Since the Club borrowed the money for the improved irrigation system, membership has increased and numbers are up for this year’s Festival of Golf.
