A 23-year-old man has been charged with firearms offences after a number of shots were fired into the air at Hamilton South overnight.
About 7.50pm police were called to Fowler Street with reports of a man standing on the balcony of a unit and allegedly firing shots into the air.
About 2 hours later a 23-year-old man was arrested as he left the unit. It’s alleged police found a firearm and ammunition in his backpack, along with an air rifle and further ammunition during a search of his unit.
No-one was injured.
