CLEANING UP TOWN, ONE TRUCK STOP AT A TIME

The Oxley Highway Truck Stop should soon be looking spick and span, thanks to a $77,000 grant from the state government.

New bins will be installed at the ‘litter hotspot’ aimed at making recycling easier, and encouraging people to do their part making the region tidier.

“Also a risk to our wildlife, but in particular fire and safety risks and it can block up drainways as well.”

It’s part of a state-wide ‘waste less, recycle more’ program.
