Surf clubs from across the state are opening their doors to the public on Sunday, with the aim of attracting more members.
From 10am, Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Club will run a number of rescue demonstrations, a mini surf carnival, and club house tours, at its Rainbow Beach base.
The club has been operating since 1958 and is one of the strongest in regional New South Wales.
Seven other clubs on the Mid North Coast including Macksville, South West Rocks and Port Macquarie are also hosting open days.
