HUNTER WOMAN WINS NATIONAL AWARD FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
A Hunter woman is among a group of just 29 to win a national award for outstanding service to the community.
Samantha Meyn has been presented with a Pride of Australia medal in Sydney, recognition for her work in establishing Harry’s House at Stockton.
She and her husband David set up the house as a retreat for families affected by childhood cancer.
It’s named in honour of their son Harry, who died at the age of seven.
Samantha is also an advocate for breast cancer support, having recently beaten the disease.
