Engineering firm, Haskoning Australia, has been awarded the tender to design a coastal protection barrier at Old Bar beach.
The issue of erosion has long been threatening homes on the coastline – prompting the state government to step in, and put up $90,000 to help find a solution.
The consultancy firm is expected to release it’s preliminary design report in November.
