NSW VEGETATION REGULATIONS TO FOLLOW COMMON SENSE APPROACH
New state native vegetation regulations will be enacted next week.
The new rules will deliver a more relaxed approach for landowners including new and expanded exemptions to clear native vegetation without a property vegetation plan (PVP).
A PVP was previously needed to clear vegetation following an agreement between a landholder and local Catchment Management Authority.
Environment Minister Robyn Parker said the new regulation follows a common sense approach.
“These changes are not about winding back environmental protection. The regulation will deliver real and practical differences, giving farmers the trust they deserve and providing them with advice and support to get on with sustainable farming,”.
