A mother who pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of her two-year-old daughter on the Central Coast has been handed a maximum 12-year sentence in the Supreme Court.
29-year-old Donna Deaves will serve a non-parole period of 9 years after her daughter, Tanilla Warrick-Deaves, died from a number of injuries including blunt force head trauma in August 2011.
Donna Deaves failed to get medical help for her daughter for two days.
In handing down the sentence, Justice Rothman said Tanilla would most likely would have survived had she received medical assistance.
