Port Macquarie-Hastings Council will host two information sessions this week about its vegetation and koala habitat mapping reports.
The first will be for members of the public, while the second is for industry representatives.
Over the last two years, Hastings koala habitat has been mapped, with a report finding the population has remained stable on about 2000 since 1949.
Issues facing the species in the wild will be discussed in the sessions, with the first taking place at the Emergency Operations Centre on Thursday evening.
