DISASTER FUNDING FOR NAMBUCCA AND KEMPSEY

Natural disaster funding to help individuals, councils and not-for-profit organisations which suffered damage in the wild storms earlier this month is to be extended to Kempsey and the Nambucca.
The storms – which caused extensive damage to Coffs Harbour’s marina, as well as to banana plantations – also impacted on roads and other infrastructure across the region.
The inclusion of the Kempsey and Nambucca communities means people who suffered damage to property in those areas can now seek government funds to assist their recovery.
