The family of a Coffs Harbour man who suffered critical head injuries after being attacked last month has made an emotional plea to the public for answers.
30-year-old Matthew Mitchell remains in a coma after he was found unconscious in the middle of Graham Drive in Sandy Beach, on August 17.
Police have established Strike Force Dartmoor to investigate the incident, but are yet to determine how Mr Mitchell suffered his injuries.
