60 JOBS TO GO FROM GLOUCESTER MINES
The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union says it’s working to maximise redeployment opportunities for around 60 workers, who’ll lose their jobs from two of Yancoal’s coal mines near Gloucester.
34 jobs are set to go from the Stratford operation, while approximately 25 will be lost from Duralie, with the mine decreasing from a 7-day to 6-day working roster.
The CFMEU says it’s the biggest loss of jobs recorded for the Stratford mine in its 18-year history.
