The decision to cut Tamworth Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s winching capabilities has been upheld by the State Health Minister today.
A meeting was held this morning between Jillian Skinner, Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson and the helicopter service, following a review of the decision.
Mr Anderson says the health minister took their concerns on board, but decided the safety of paramedics was paramount, and winching was too dangerous.
